On December 9th, the stay ring and spiral case of the first unit of Zhejiang Songyang Pumped Storage Power Station—independently researched, designed, and manufactured by the company—was successfully hoisted into place after passing the trial lifting inspection in the assembly bay. The 211-ton component was precisely lowered to the designed position in the machine pit with a steady and slow movement. The completion of this key milestone marks the official entry of the project construction into the critical phase, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent unit installation progress and the on-schedule power generation of the first unit.

The stay ring and spiral case hoisted this time is a core component tailored by the company for the high-head operating conditions of the power station. With a rated head of 486 meters and a maximum head of 532.9 meters for the station's pump-turbine, facing harsh operating conditions, Zhefu leveraged over 50 years of experience in R&D and manufacturing of hydropower equipment and accumulated core technologies in high-head units. Through optimized structural design, selection of high-strength special materials, and application of advanced manufacturing processes, the component not only possesses excellent structural strength but also ensures long-term operational reliability, capable of stably bearing key forces such as unit gravity, concrete loads, and water thrust. With an overall dimension of 14.2m × 12.0m × 2.5m, the component adopted a customized scheme of being transported in two halves and assembled/welded on-site, fully demonstrating Zhefu's profound technical accumulation in the customized R&D and manufacturing of large-scale hydropower equipment.

From the optimization of hydraulic performance in the design phase, to the precision machining control in production and manufacturing, and to the technical disclosure and guidance in on-site installation, the Zhefu team closely collaborated with the Party Member Vanguard of "Safe and Green Construction of Underground Powerhouse" affiliated to China Three Gorges Construction Engineering Songyang Pumped Storage Company, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of the hoisting task.
